This special event is designed specifically for CLA juniors, seniors, and recent graduates (from May 2007 or after). It'll help you address the unique challenges you face as you begin to search for a job. The afternoon includes:

Seminars and Q&A Panels: Get substantive advice about the job market, networking, handling multiple job offers, and the transition from student to employee. Also, hear from employers who will tell you what qualities they look for and what jobs are available.

Networking with Employers: At lunch you'll dine with employers, giving you a chance to ask questions in person, and get their personal advice about the job market. This is one of the most popular parts of this event! (See below for a list of employers attending.)

Information Packets: We'll supply you with handouts and articles that will help you throughout your career path.
Resume Critiques: If you would like your resume critiqued during the event, please bring a copy with you.

Cost is $10. Note that the original registration deadline has been extended! Now you have until March 4 to register.

HOW TO REGISTER:

OPTION 1 (RECOMMENDED): Register online via GoldPASS, the U of M's job site. (You must register this way if you want to pay the $10 fee by credit card.) Log in to GoldPASS and go to the Career Events tab, where you'll see the Job Search Jump Start link. Click the RSVP button.

OPTION 2: Fill out this registration form (PDF) and drop it off at our 135 Johnston Hall office. Or stop by 135 Johnston and fill out the form there. (It's now too late to mail in registration forms.)
