2. ST. PAUL CAMPUS JOB AND INTERNSHIP FAIR

This free event is open to all U of M students on all campuses. Many employers will be there looking to fill a wide variety of jobs and internships. To see which employers are attending, go to the 'Career Events' section in GoldPASS.
3. GRAD SCHOOL: HOW TO GET STARTED

Are you wondering if grad school is right for you? Come to this free event for information on how to prepare, application materials and timelines, and the admission process. Free and open to all U of M students.
4. COMPANY SITE VISIT: TARGET

-- 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
This free event is for CLA students interested in business careers. Get a look at Target's downtown complex and learn about their career options for liberal arts students. Register through GoldPASS by Sept 29. Get more details here.
5. MN STATE SENATE INTERNSHIP (INFO SESSION)

Looking for a way to get experience in politics? Do a spring 2010 internship with the Minnesota State Senate. This Info Session provides internship details and application instructions. The location will be posted online soon.
6. WHAT CAN I DO WITH A MAJOR IN POLI SCI?

Talk to political science alumni about the paths they took after graduation. Get advice and ask questions. This free event is open to all U of M students. The location will be posted online soon.
7. PRACTICE INTERVIEW DAYS

Do a practice interview with a business professional, then receive helpful feedback afterward. Your practice session will be 45 minutes long and you can choose the start-time. Sign up through GoldPASS in the 'On-Campus Interviews' section.
8. CAREER PANEL: GOV'T AND LAW ENFORCEMENT

Hear from a panel of professionals working in various government and law enforcement fields. Learn about their career paths and why you might consider these fields. Open to all U of M students. Feel free to bring your lunch--cookies will be provided!
9. GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL DAY

Stop by this big annual event to learn about local and national grad schools. More than 100 grad programs will be there. Browse on your own, talk to school reps, or attend free seminars about applying to and funding grad school. This event is free and open to everyone. Find more details and preparation tips here.
10. GOVERNMENT JOB AND INTERNSHIP FAIR

Many positions are available in government departments and agencies across the country. Come to this event to learn what's out there. You don't have to register in advance to attend, but bring your student ID to get in. We also recommend you bring copies of your resume.

It's not too late to participate in NSE this spring semester. There are still school openings available. NSE allows you to go on exchange to another college in North America.

12. CLA UNDERGRADUATE INTERNSHIP GRANTS
--Apply by September 23
The College of Liberal Arts offers $1200 grants to selected CLA undergrads doing unpaid internships. If you have an internship this fall, apply for a CLA internship grant by Sept 23 at 4:30. See details and application instructions here.
13. VETERAN / SERVICE MEMBER INTERNSHIP GRANTS
--Apply by September 23
If you're a U of M student veteran or service member, you may be eligible for a special internship grant for unpaid or low-paid internships. Find details and application instructions at http://onestop.umn.edu/veterans/gift_aid.html. Open to all degree-seeking U of M students on all campuses.
